The Chabot College Athletics Department offers student assistant opportunities for currently enrolled Chabot College students who are interested in gaining hands-on experience in collegiate athletics.
Student assistants help support athletic events and operations and gain valuable, resume-building experience in areas such as social media, ticketing, game day operations, equipment room operations, and team support. These positions require professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude when interacting with student-athletes, staff, and the public.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled at
Chabot College in at least
6 units
- Willingness to work
nights, weekends, and school breaks
- Demonstrated
organizational skills, attention to detail, and dependability
- Past experience as an athlete or in athletic settings is preferred, but not required

Volunteer / Hourly Opportunites Available
Equipment Room Assistant
- Assist with athletic equipment operations including laundry, inventory organization, game-day setup and breakdown, and support for athletic teams and events.
Social Media Assistant
- Assist with athletics social media content creation, photography/video, graphics, event promotion, and student-athlete recognition.
Mass Communications majors are encouraged to apply.
Ticketing Services Assistant
- Assist with ticket operations during athletic events.
Game Day Operations Assistant
- Assist with game day operations including scoreboard, shot clock, scorebook, statistics, event setup, and other operational duties. Responsibilities vary by sport.
Student Team Manager
- Support a specific athletic team with practices, games, uniforms, equipment, hydration, and other team operations as assigned by coaches and athletic staff.
