The Chabot men's basketball team continued to impress with its versatility and resilience in recent action. Its talent speaks for itself.
The Gladiators, ranked No. 15 in the state Preseason Top 20, improved to 7-1 with an 85-59 rout of visiting Solano on Nov. 21 — a strong rebound effort after the team's first loss of the season at Modesto Junior College on Nov.18.
"We are still learning, getting better after every game," interim head coach Marquis Glenn said. "I like how this group can adjust quickly and can adapt to the playing environment. I enjoy coming to practice with these guys — they make me enjoy coaching them everyday."
The Glads broke the game open against Solano with a monster second half, outscoring their opponent 43-22. Zion Yeargin had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, along with four steals, two blocks and two assists. Kamari King stepped up with 18 points (7-13 FG), five steals, four assists and three rebounds. Amani Johnson added 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals.
