GLADS KEEPS BATTLING
The resilient Chabot men's basketball team rebounded from a three-game losing streak to win three in a row and move into sole possession of third place in the Coast Conference-North Division.
The Glads (16-6, 5-3), ranked tied for No. 21 in the state, finished last week with a close win over visiting Skyline 60-58, as sophomore stars Zion Yeargin and Amani Johnson combined for 31 points and 16 rebounds, and Oz Savage added 10 points and four blocks. Yeargin tacked on four assists, two steals and two blocks.
The thriller followed a 76-64 win over host Ohlone on Jan. 28. Yeargin amassed 20 points, seven rebounds and five rebounds, Johnson had 19 points, seven rebounds and three steals; and Dominique Trotter, off the bench, added 11 points and four rebounds.
Chabot also crushed 90-51 on Jan. 23, after dropping games to CCSF, Canada and Las Positas.
The Glads will have a challenging week traveling to College of San Mateo on Wednesday, Feb. 4 and hosting district sister school, Las Positas, on Friday, Feb. 6, both at 7 p.m.
