SPRINTERS SHOW THE WAY

The Chabot men's track and field team sizzled in the sprints and finished second behind Hartnell in the Coast Conference Track and Field championships.
The meet was held over two days at San Jose City and Monterey Peninsula colleges.
"The team as a whole was outstanding over the weekend," Chabot head coach Dooney Jones said.
Things got off to a great start for Chabot on Day 1 in San Jose. Lantz Fuller and Jeremiah Hong finished fourth and fifth in the pole vault, and freshman Cameron Jones placed first in the triple jump
Not to be outdone, the Gladiators' men's sprint and distance crews made their mark. Chabot was first in the men's 4x100 relay. Won Choi and Jhann Karlo Alvarez were first and third in the 1500.
Chabot also swept the top four spots, and six of the top eight, in the 100, led by champion Jamal Perry. Christian Hauge was second, Phoenix Hin third,
and Ralph Radford fourth.
The Glads also finished one, two, three in the 200: Hauge, Perry, and Hin. Sophomore Aiden Letson had impressive runner-up finishes in the 110 hurdles and 400 hurdles.
"The team is primed for a good performance at NorCal," Jones said.
They'll compete this weekend at the NorCal meet at Santa Rosa JC.
