Chabot runners Jhann Karlo Alvarez and Won Choi had personal-record times at the 3C2A State Cross Country Championships Saturday at Woodward Park in Fresno.
 
After a rainy week in Fresno, the skies cleared in time for the big meet.
 
Alvarez cracked the top 100, taking 93rd place, with a time of 21 minutes, 54.9 seconds over 4.0 miles, and Choi ran 22:04.6, taking 108th.
 
Also, Chabot's Tirdaud Rejaly had a mark of 22:17.
 
"I thought they ran acceptionally well all year. I loved the way they competed and worked off themselves to improve," Chabot head coach Dooney Jones said. "There were no egos on the team. It was always about the team. Coach B did a great job preparing them. It's only going to get better."
 
The day began with the 3.1 mile women's race, followed by the men's showdown. Weston Greenelsh of Cuesta was the men's individual champion in a time of 19:51.
