The Chabot College Softball team finished the season in an "amazing way," according to head coach Megan Kravets
The Gladiators swept a doubleheader against visiting Yuba 15-4 and 12-8 on April 28.
In the 15-5 rout, Juliana Ottria was the winning pitcher and had a double and an RBI, as did teammates Jalen Fa'aita and Emilie Vonderheid. Cherlyn Sandal added an RBI on a sacrifice fly, and Liliana Rodriguez had an RBI. The Gladiators pounded out 10 hits.
In the 12-8 triumph, Ottria worked six innings in relief to get the pitching win. Chabot's offense revved into high gear with 21 hits. Haley Matthews went 4 for 4 with two runs scored. Leadoff Aliya Lubrin was 2 for 2 with a home run and three RBI. Briana Arguello was 3 for 3 and Rodriguez was 3 for 4.
Others with two hits were Fa'aita, Sandal, Ottria, and Karalyn McGovern.
