GLADS STILL IN PLAYOFF HUNT
October 21, 2025
The Chabot women's soccer team showed plenty of good form in back-to-back defeats against elite competition last week.
The Glads fell to City College of San Francisco, ranked fifth in the state, 5-0, and Cañada, ranked ninth, 1-0. CCSF leads the Coast-North, and Cañada tops the Coast-South.
"Our two toughest opponents of the year, but we played well," Chabot head coach Dan Chubbock said.
The Glads (6-4-4, 1-2-3 Coast-North) are still in the hunt for the playoffs with three road games coming up, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Gavilan.
CCSF proved a tough nut to crack.
"We competed, but they have quality in every area of the pitch. We had chances and hit the post after two minutes. 5-0 doesn't tell the story.
The Glads fell just short against Cañada.
"We were great for 85 minutes?" Chubbock said. "But a slow start in the second half cost us the game."
