ALOMAR IS GOLDEN IN COAST TRACK

Chabot's Niah Alomar had a great day at the Coast Conference Track and Field Championships at Monterey Peninsula College.
Alomar earned four gold medals, taking first in the women's 100 meters (12.1 seconds), 200 (25.23), 4x100 relay, as the anchor (46.70, season best), and 4x400 relay. Others on the 4x100 relay were Rymiyah Pringle-Hamilton, Nyarah Anderson-Brown, and Maleah Taylor.
Led by Alomar, the Chabot women placed third in the team standings.
On the men's side, Chabot's Amartya Poovaiah struck gold in the 800 in a time of 1:57.79.
The Chabot men also took first place in the 4x100 relay.
