Anderson-Brown, Perez Shine at High-Profile Meets
The Chabot women's track and field team made a resounding statement this past week, fueled by dominant sprints in Modesto and a breakout distance performance in San Francisco.
Leading the charge, standout Nyarah Anderson-Brown proved why she is one of the premier sprinters in the state, while freshman Haley Perez climbed the 3C2A leaderboards against elite competition.
Chabot's Nyarah Anderson-Brown was a double-winner in the 100 meters (11.93), currently ranked No. 3 in the 3C2A, and the 200 meters (24.25), which sits at No. 1 in the 3C2A.
Freshman Haley Perez competed in the Golden Gate Track Festival in San Francisco on March 6. She broke into the 3C2A Top 10 in the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.20, finishing sixth overall.
