ANDERSON-BROWN RUNS TO STATE GLORY
Chabot sprinter Nyarah Anderson-Brown capped her brilliant Gladiator career by winning the women's 200-meter title at the 3C2A State Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Hilmer Lodge Stadium at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
Anderson-Brown turned back a familiar foe while blazing to a personal-record 200 time of 23.46 seconds, and was second in the 100 in a PR of 11.50.
In the 200, Anderson-Brown upset Modesto 100 champion Shaylan Roy-Williams
"Nyarah had just finished second in the 100 meters, and her 200 meters was inspiring," Chabot head coach Dooney Jones shared. "The girl from Modesto had been beating her all year. She, Nyarah, came off the curve with purpose. She gained an extra gear that the field didn't have. She held it to the end."
