Sophomore Elizabeth Tapia scored a goal in each half, and the Chabot women's soccer team beat Contra Costa 4-2 on Tuesday in the Glads' season opener.
The Glads broke it open with three goals in the second half.
"We grew into the game after a poor first half, but happy to see the goals shared between three of our attackers and assists coming from all areas of the field," Chabot coach Dan Chubbock said.
Tapia had goals in the 15th and 67th minutes. Also scoring for winners were midfielders Alexa Perez (72) and Abigail Lopez (87). Those with assists were Alekxa Gonzalez-Serrano, Keyla Ramirez, Kiana Ayllon and Yocelin Bolvito-Perez.
"We have a lot of work to do, but great to get off to a winning start and excited to see what we can do as the squad begins to jell," Chubbock said.
